About 4 kilometers before you arrive at Golfito Bay, there are two signs on the left side of the highway marking the La Purruja Lodge driveway.  Turn in here and the driveway leads you over a rustic bridge and into the enchanting setting of this small bungalow-hotel.  Here on the grounds of the lodge wildlife and bird watchers can see a diverse variety of Costa Rica's birds, monkeys, and frogs.

A very nice and clean place to stay are de cabins of Peter and his costarican wife. On the paths on the property you can observe tropical forest and its habitants. There is also a fresh water pool.

At the entrance to Golfito, this hotel is a good choice. Sometimes squirrel monkeys are coming by to get bananas. There is a pool and a small restaurant. The Hotel is named after a nearby giant Ceibo tree.

The waterfront location of this Hotel is a great bargain. There is a pool built with face to ocean. Guest rooms are set amid attractive garden. There is a large open-air restaurant that looks over the gulf.
